We are dedicated to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all adventurers. To maintain a positive experience, we ask all participants to adhere to the following Code of Conduct. Together, we can ensure that everyone has a safe and fun experience.
Respect and Inclusivity
- Treat all players, Dungeon Masters (DMs), with kindness, respect, and courtesy. The Inn Between is a safe space for all, regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or ability.
- Be considerate and collaborative. Avoid demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior, and ensure that your language and actions reflect the inclusive values of our community.
- Remember that the event space is shared with others—treat the venue and its patrons with respect.
Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:
- Harassment: Offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability; inappropriate use of nudity or sexual imagery; deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following; unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention.
- Disruptive behavior: Boisterous, lewd, or offensive language or actions that disrupt the experience for others, including inappropriate physical conduct or verbal threats.
- Physical or verbal abuse: Any form of intimidation, threats, or violence. Physical force, pushing, or creating an unsafe environment for others will not be tolerated.
- Weapon possession: Weapons of any kind are prohibited, with the exception of foam or plastic props for role-playing purposes.
- Alcohol and drug use: Alcohol is permitted, but must be consumed responsibly. Excessive intoxication or disruptive behavior due to alcohol will lead to removal from the event. Illegal substances, including narcotics, are strictly prohibited.
- Photography/Recording: Harassing or intrusive photography, videography, or recording of participants without their consent is not allowed. Be mindful of others' privacy.
Photography and Videography
- By attending The Inn Between events, you agree to have your image and likeness captured in photographs and videos for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform staff or the DM before the event.
- Unwanted or invasive photography, particularly of individuals or private moments, is not permitted. Respect others' boundaries, especially in sensitive role-play situations.
Sportsmanship and Fair Play
- All participants are expected to play fairly and follow the DM’s rulings without dispute. Encourage collaboration and good sportsmanship in your interactions.
- Bullying, intimidation, or exclusionary behavior will not be tolerated. We are here to build shared stories and adventures together.
Safety and Well-Being
- Respect the emotional and physical boundaries of others. Before engaging in role-play that may involve sensitive topics, ensure that all participants are comfortable and have given their consent.
- If you feel unsafe or witness any concerning behavior, immediately inform the DM. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all attendees.
Social Media and Communication
- Use social media responsibly and avoid using it to harass, shame, or intimidate other participants. Online behavior should reflect the same respect and courtesy we expect in person.
- During sessions, stay engaged and on-topic. Refrain from excessive cross-talk or interruptions to ensure the game flows smoothly for everyone.
Phone and Tech Etiquette
- Please limit phone use during the game to prevent distractions. If you need to take a call or step away, do so respectfully without interrupting the session.
Property and Venue Respect
- Respect the venue and the property of others. Clean up after yourself and leave the space as you found it. Any form of theft or damage to property will lead to immediate removal.
Alcohol and Drug Policy
- Alcohol is allowed at the event, but please drink responsibly. Disruptive behavior due to intoxication will not be tolerated, and you may be asked to leave the event.
- The use or possession of illegal substances is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate expulsion from the event.
Cancellation and Ticket Policy
- If you need to cancel your session, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. Same-day cancellations are non-refundable.
- No ticket, no entry. Ensure you have purchased your ticket before arriving to the session.
Consequences for Unacceptable Behavior
- Participants who engage in unacceptable behavior will be asked to stop immediately. Continued violations will result in expulsion from the event without refund, and additional penalties may apply.
- The Inn Between reserves the right to take any action necessary to maintain a safe environment, including removing individuals from their play groups.
Reporting Concerns
- If you witness or experience any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to the DM. All reports will be handled confidentially, and we will take appropriate action to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone involved.
By attending events at The Inn Between, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct and contribute to a positive, respectful, and safe environment where all adventurers can enjoy the game.
